An inquisitive and strong filly with amazing sabino markings.  Doramé was standing very quickly and is up on her feet constantly to greet people.  Beautiful blaze and white on all four legs with matching diagonals - front right and back left both have huge stockings above her knee/hock, and front left and back right have small white pastern markings.  This filly is all legs and will be very tall.  Located in Ohio, USA. Congratulations to Michelle for naming this filly!

Foaled: May 22, 2008

16.2hh (mature)

Double Take is a very pretty, very feminine Dutch Warmblood filly with great confirmation and long straight legs.  We decided to call her "Violet" as a barn name in tribute to her dam, Irissari or "Iris".  Violet is a strong filly with an inquisitive and feisty personality.  She loves to greet people at the door of her stall for pets and scratches.  She has matching hind half stockings and a dozen or so white hairs on her forehead that make up a tiny little star.  Congratulations to Lindsey who named this filly.

Bloodlines: Nimmerdor, Donauwind *E*, Joost

It's not too late to submit name suggestions for the third foal out of Olé (Holst) by Cabardino (Holst).  You can do this by clicking the link for the Name the Foal Competition.  Top prize is a $100 gift certificate to a tack store of your choice.  We will also show Olé's progress in the next couple of weeks on the Foal-'o-Meter page as well.

The Foals link on our website will take you to a summary page of all of our foals we have including upcoming foals as well as past foals that we have had at our farm.

FARM UPDATE

Catapult, our imported buckskin sabino Swedish Warmblood stallion prospect, has finally finished shedding out and is now a lovely light buckskin color.  We will have new photos and videos of him around the same time that Olé's foal arrives (the photo on the left was from the CSHA show in September 2007).  He is doing so wonderfully with his ground work and absolutely loves jumping - so much so that we only use a single rail guide pole to the jump instead of a full chute.  He clears the jumps with such ease and is so calm and collected before and after the jump.  We'll be sure to capture his jumping on video and will keep you updated on his progress.

We have several new photos of our mares under saddle including Jamaica, Clair de Lune and Travola (a video has also been added).  We're hoping to show Jamaica in some hunter classes this year and will be getting her ready to compete shortly.  We had also planned on showing Clair de Lune this year and have been working with her under saddle.  She's very similar in personality to Jamaica, calm and laid back, and doesn't even blink over jumps.  She's been a broodmare all of her life so it would be a great experience for her if we can get her to some shows.

2008 BREEDING SEASON - BOYFRIEND SELECTIONS

Jamaica (imported buckskin Swedish Warmblood) will hopefully be bred to Olympic Concorde (Preferent KWPN).  She has been to the breeders twice already... we're hoping third time is a charm.

Clair de Lune (imported buckskin Swedish Warmblood) will be bred (hopefully this week) to For Play (Elite Hanov) a newly imported stallion.  This foal would have a 50% chance of being palomino or buckskin, 50% chance of being sabino and would be registered with SWANA.

Travola (imported sabino Dutch Warmblood) will be bred to Chin Chin (BWP/KWPN) (hopefully the week of June 9).  This foal would have a 50% chance of being sabino and would be registered with KWPN-NA.

Until next time, happy horsing!
